What a shame!

Published by arthi at 12:26 pm under Everything else..., Women of India Edit This

In Mangalore a group of around 40 to 45 men claiming to belong to Shri Ram Sena rushed forcefully into a lounge named Amnesia and beat up young teenagers mostly girls on Saturday. What were the girls fault? According to these rouges the girls were breaking “traditional Indian values”. They proclaim to belong to a group of people who are actively trying to restore back Hindutva in its original form.

I am a Hindu and have enough knowledge of the historical and religious scriptures to question them that where in our religion it is stated that girls can be beaten up or tortured for wearing or doing things or even going to places they wished to. These people are so ridiculous that they even proclaim that since more and more teenagers are going to pubs or lounges, traditional  values are going to be compromised. Nothing better can be used to express my sincere hatred and anger against these people except for slang which I prefer not to use here.

Taking place of such an event in a city like Mangalore on the Republic Day which questions the basic of Democracy of the system itself is a real shame to our nation in the worst of its form. Whats sad is the fact that such people have strong politicians as their patronage and hence will be bailed out in time and left independent to spread more terror in the name of Hindutva. The man who represented Hinduism, as I prefer calling it, had said its not a religion but a way to lead our lives. That is true face of this religion and people who try to spread anything else or tortures in its name should be severely punished. The fact that we pray Ram till date who had asked Sita to prove herself by Agnipariksha is a sheer weapon in these peoples hand. There constricted minds are not capable of understanding any real meaning of the Vedas. Strict action should be taken against such people so that every Indian has the right to live their life in a way they want to till when they are law abiding citizens.

People who beat up and humiliate harmless innocent teenage girls can’t teach us Indian traditional values!

I saw this in the news the other day. It’s wrong. What happened to their freedom?

It’s their choice if the girls wanted to go to the pub! But, the activist group dragging them outside and was absolutely wrong and inhumane!

How will India progress if things like this exist?
We need stronger unity between people.

I agree completely with both of you..Sudden outburst like these shows what kind of people are getting into the base level of Indian politics and we need to stand united against such incidents.

These type of incidents should not be repeated and Government and other officials should take care of this. Really, it has put a blemish on us and our country !
